Napoli have reaped major benefits from signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for cheap and aim to replicate such a deal by targeting more Georgian players. Five who play across Europe have caught their attention in particular, Il Mattino relays (via Informazione).

The Partenopei will have to bolster multiple positions in the summer. For the midfield, they are keeping tabs on Gabriel Sigua, an 18-year-old who stars for Basel and has already debuted with the national team. He transferred to Switzerland last summer for €700k.

Napoli also have Shakhtar Donetsk’s Irakli Azarovi on their radar. He started as a winger and progressively lowered his position on the pitch. He plays as a left-back at Shakhtar Donetsk, which acquired him from Red Star Belgrade for €3M last year.

The Azzurri also have two attackers, Dinamo Tbilisi’s Giorgi Moistsrapishvili and Metz’s Georges Mikautadze, in their crosshairs. The former has posted 14 goals and 12 assists in 77 matches in the Eronvuli Liga. The latter has been carrying his team offensively in the last two seasons. He has hit the 35 times in 59 games in France. He returned on loan a few months after Ajax signed him for €16M.

The Partenopei could also pursue a player who already made it to Serie A, Torino’s Saba Sazonov, to add depth in the back.

Our Take on Napoli and the Georgian players

They’ll have to give Kvaratskhelia a new contract, but it’s a pretty good indication that they’ll eventually come to terms. Sigua and Mikautadze are the two most interesting options and would address pressing needs.
