Report: Sabres F Jack Quinn has surgery, out 8 weeks
Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Quinn, who suffered a lower-body injury on Saturday against the San Jose Sharks, underwent surgery on Monday and will be sidelined about eight weeks, the Buffalo News reported.

Quinn made a spin move to avoid a check and went to the ice with an apparent left leg injury and had to be helped by teammates to the bench.

Quinn had an assist in the win over San Jose, one game after putting up a goal and two assists in a win over the Los Angeles Kings. He has five goals and seven assists over 17 games this season.

He did not make his season debut until Dec. 19 due to a ruptured Achilles tendon in his left leg, but Saturday's injury and the subsequent surgery are reportedly unrelated to his Achilles.

Quinn, 22, was the eighth overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft by Buffalo. He has 51 points (20 goals, 31 assists) in 94 career games over parts of three seasons.
